ROC
ROC
ROC embraces the philosophy of servant-leadership. If we want to lead people to Jesus, we must be willing to humble ourselves and wash their feet (John 13:14). Jesus leads us to a lifestyle of empathy, stewardship, healing, and a commitment to the growth and development of people.
The Bible is the trustworthy and final authority for all of life— the inspired Word of the one living and true God, relevant, active, and applicable to daily life
2 Timothy 3:16
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness"
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal
Genesis 1:26
"Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness"
God reigns as Father and Creator with providential care over His universe. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with humanity yet without sin. In His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of humankind from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God and fully man.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His Church. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the Church in worship, evangelism, and service.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; by His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts
The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus' high commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the Church. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Kingdom of God includes both His general sovereignty over the universe and His particular kingship over men who willfully acknowledge Him as King. The Kingdom of God is His rule, His reign, and His action. We pray and labor that the Kingdom may come, and God's will be done on earth.
